The first London Restaurant Network breakfast of 2017 was held at Smith & Wollensky in January. Guest speaker Alan Yau, awarded an OBE in 2006 for his services to the restaurant industry, shared his passion and insights with the attendees.
Yau, best known as the founder of the Wagamama chain of restaurants in the UK, is lso the man behind the well-known Chinese restaurants, Hakkasan and Yauatcha, both a part of the Hakkasan Group. Most recently, Yau launched the opulent and elegant high-end Chinese restaurant, Park Chinois in Mayfair, as well as the stylish and trendy Soho pub, The Duck and Rice.
The LRN breakfast was a productive morning, not only was it informative, but provided invaluable networking opportunities.
